Adam Scott Surges To T-11 Using A $25 Titleist Driver
Adam Scott (along with any other Tour player) has access to all the free expensive golf clubs he desires. So it came as a little (but refreshing) surprise that he put in a circa 2010 Titleist 910D3 that’s valued at a mere $25 to finish T-11 at THE PLAYERS.
GolfWrx.com’s Ben Alberstadt has the details.
He was 27th in Strokes Gained: Off the tee and 5th in driving distance.
“It doesn’t matter whether it’s on the greens or you got to do something else driving the ball, to make the game what you feel is easier is definitely something you need to do, especially when you’ve been struggling for any kind of momentum out there, which has been, for me, frustrating,” Scott said. “So it’s freeing some things up.”
The big stick is currently valued at $25.20 by the PGA Value Guide.
It reminds me of when Brandt Snedeker used a driver and putter with a combined value of a mere $34 to win the 2015 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Brandt Snedeker is going to win $1m+ with a driver and putter with a COMBINED trade-in value of $34 according to @PGA_com Value Guide.

Just goes to show not every piece of worthy golf equipment has to have a expensive price tag.
