Tony Romo’s DraftKings Value Is Higher Than Several Past PGA Tour Winners
Ex-Cowboy QB/now CBS lead football analyst Tony Romo received a sponsor exemption to play in the PGA Tour alternate event this week at the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship (opposite the WGC Dell Match Play Championship).
Some were typically miffed (“It takes a slot away from a Tour player struggling to make a living, etc, etc”).
Will he make the cut? Probably not given all the stout sticks who go very low in these events. However, my DraftKings partner-in-crime bettor Craig Rosengarden passed along this nugget.
Romo’s betting value is higher ($6,600) than several past Tour champions, including Steven Bowditch, Carl Pettersson, Brandon Todd, Keith Clearwater, Cameron Beckman and Robert Gamez.
If you have some scratch to burn, here are some prop bets courtesy of Brobible.com.
Since Romo is actually in the field, oddsmakers at BetDSI Sportsbook have given retired NFL quarterback betting odds. Currently, Romo’s odds of making the cut are 15/1. In comparison, at last year’s Ellie Mae Classic, Steph Curry’s odds to make the cut were 9/1.
