Tour Pro Makes Public Plea For A Teammate So He Can Play In Zurich Classic
Tour pro David Hearn needs help to play in the two-man team format at the Zurich Classic. He cannot enter unless a qualified player decides to team up. So, the pro is going all Sadie Hawkins by openly soliciting any and all comers to take him to the Zurich dance as GolfDigest.com’s Joel Beall reports.
Hello PGA Tour friends. I am hoping to find a partner for the Zurich Classic. I do need to be invited this season because of my 2017 fedex cup standing. Anyway, my record for the past 5 seasons in New Orleans is T22, T20, T6, T34 and T21. Pls let me know if anyone is interested!!

The 38-year-old journeyman fell outside the FedEx Cup Top 125 last season, and ranks 170th on this year’s list. A standing that hasn’t earned qualification into the New Orleans event. However, though Hearn’s not eligible he could still gain entry via an invitation from a fellow player, similar to Chase Koepka teaming up with his brother Brooks last spring.
Its a good idea by Hearn, but the responses are more schtick than substance. So far, not one qualified pro has punched the dance card.
Wish him luck.
