Spieth Goes Back To Familiar Putter After One Week Of Time Out

Jordan Spieth announced he’s reconciled with his old familiar putter after one week of time-out for the flatstick according to GolfChannel’s Matt Adams.

Its not the first or certainly the last time a great player tinkered with an offending club. Sometimes you just need try something new to clear the head. Typically a player will return to his or her longtime love at some point–especially a player like Spieth who enjoyed such good fortune with his.

He’ll be playing with Bill Murray again this year at today’s Pro-Am (tee time 12 noon).

Last year the duo had a good time at Colonial and Spieth went on to win the tournament. The karma couldn’t hurt for Jordan who’s missed three of his last four cuts while his Strokes Gained-Putting ranking has dropped from 2nd last year to 52nd this season.

The silver lining is he’s far and away the best player at Colonial the last five years with a 43-under total that’s 11 strokes better than runner-up Jason Dufner.
