J.B. Holmes Still “Doesn’t Understand What All The Hoopla Was About”

J.B. Holmes continues to be the oblivious poster child for slow play. He also continues to mysteriously wonder what all the fuss is regarding his waiting over 4 minutes to pull the trigger on his second shot at the 18th hole on Sunday. Some folks will never change–no matter the evidence splattered all over crime scene.

GolfChannel’s Tim Rosaforte has Holmes’ head-scratching excuse.

“If it bothered Alex, he could have said something and he could have hit,” Holmes said. “If I messed him up, I apologize. He still made a good swing. He smoked it. (Hitting 3-wood over the green and through the tunnel, next to the CBS booth.) I don’t understand what the big hoopla is all about. I was just trying to give myself the best chance to win the tournament. I didn’t want to mess anybody up.”

Here’s another J.B. take when talking to GolfChannel’s Chantel McCabe. Make sure you catch two eye-opening phrases;

“It’s not like it took a half hour to hit the shot” and “This happens on tour, it’s just not always on camera.” If that’s the case, the Tour’s slow play policies are worse than previously thought.

In case you missed it, here is the entire 4 minute, 10 second wait in its entirety. As you can see, 4 minutes a ridiculous amount of time to hit a shot from the fairway.
